• Week 8: First Dr.'s Appt. and Ultrasound. This was also Nick's first experience in an OBGYN office. It turned out to be a fine learning experience for him. Priceless. We saw baby Mostek for the first time, and during the appointment I could actually see what the doctor was telling me was in the photo. Now, it's a fuzzy blob again. In case you're wondering, it's a baby.
• Week 8: Bay to Breakers (12k). I was feeling fairly pukey at this time, but since I had been training, I was determined. No pics, but I was able to run the full length of the race and felt pretty great (albeit slower than my pre-pregnancy goal).
• Week 11: Janet and Paul's wedding in Pennsylvania. We had a chance to see lots of our California friends that became East-Coasters last year. I made it the whole weekend keeping it a secret and told everyone after the wedding was over (very strategic wardrobe on my part).
• Week 12: The big reveal. Yep, baby. This was also my last week of softball. I do miss it since softball tends to be a big part of our summer. Nick is still playing 4 times a week, so I get see everyone and be a fan.

• Week 14: Amsterdam & nephew Logan arrived! Amsterdam was an amazing trip. Nick had a work conference and I was lucky enough to tag along. Nick is still in the process of sorting through his great photos, so this will have to do for now.
My nephew was born while we were there: Logan Archer Lamos. He can't help his own cuteness.
• Week 15: Still growing.

• Week 16: Color Run (5K). I've known Ashley since kindergarten and somehow we both ended up in the Bay Area. I don't get to see her enough, so this was a great excuse to get together. It was great, though I was a bit worried about keeping a decent pace with her (the runner extraordinaire). Nevertheless, it all turned out just fine. We were blasted with lots of colored powder throughout the run and crossed the finish line sufficiently colorific.
• Week 17: Visit from Steve! One of Nick's fellow grad school friends came to visit for the weekend from Chile (after a week-long work conference in San Francisco). It was so great to catch up, and we received our first baby sweater. Thanks Steve!
• Week 18: Gilroy Garlic Festival. Gilroy is known for being the garlic capitol of the world, and every year they have a garlic festival. It's a typical fair-type setting, with lots of chefs and delicious (sometimes weird) food. In case you're wondering, garlic ice cream isn't that bad, and crab garlic french fries are quite delicious.
Both my mom and my sister-in-law Aleshia have been fantastic in helping to keep clothes in my closet that fit and are comfortable (as demonstrated by the outfit below). Thanks so much to both of you!

Sorry, you just look too cute. :) Would love to have seen a bit of Nick's first visit to the obgyn. Tell him to get used to it. Many more trips in the next 22 weeks. By the third baby, John just showed up at the hospital at the end. ;) Keep up the updates, so fun to be able to watch and hear about your experience!
ReplyDeleteOooh, we (I) want to come out to the Garlic Festival sometime! This is great, love the pics and updates!
ReplyDeleteOh, and baby #3? I think I took 1 baby bump picture.
ReplyDeleteNick seems to be more interested in documenting the baby bump than I am, but as long as he's willing to continue to be the photographer, I don't mind. If it were up to me to take photos, nothing would get done! And Glenda, you definitely need to come out and share in the various food festivals. I enjoyed the pumpkin festival a couple years ago, and hope to go again this year. Pumpkin cheesecake. YES.
